In 1833, then went to Ogle Co., IL. In 1850 they were living in Mt. Morris, Ogle Co.. In 1860 John was farming in Mt. Morris, with a John W. WITMER 25, in the household. In 1870 they were in Haldan Twp., Ogle Co., with Cassius Denner 20, a farm hand, b. in Hanover, GER in the home. In 1880 Eliza is living with her daughter Mary and husband Melchoir NEWCOMER in Mt. Morris. In 14 Sep 1883 they were present at the Old Settlers Meeting. There is also a picture of Eliza attending the 100th birthday party of Miss Kitty (FUNK) RICE (see FUNK Family 218.1h), another long time resident of Ogle Co., from Washington Co., MD. Benjamin migrated to Sangamon Co., IL, with his parents, and came to Mt. Morris, Ogle Co., IL in 1842. Narcissa came to Ogle Co. with her parents in 1844. Benjamin was a farmer and in the harness and saddle business and in the grain trade. They were members of the Methodist Church, and once lived in Polo, Ogle Co. Ward of Polo, Ogle Co., and in 1920 he was a teacher and his wife a musician in Buffalo Twp. The age of his wife in 1920 fits Flora, but the name is difficult to read.
