William m. 2nd., 18 Jun 1780, Martha Margaret EASTERDAY, d. 29 Dec 1824. OSTERTAG was the German spelling of EASTERDAY. William witnessed the marrage of Jacob WHIPP and Barbara DEBELER on 6 Dev 1785. William TABLER and wife, Maria, went to Botetourt Co., VA, with Christian and Christina (TABLER) VINEYARD in 1778. They deeded land to Christian VINEYARD on 11 Mar 1779, and returned to Frederick Co., MD. Wilhelm  part of  Coroners's Inquest for an unidentified body and bones found on the mountain, along with father, Melchoir, and brother, Peter. Christian m. 2nd., 18 Apr 1847 (or Apr 1848), Baltimore, MD, by Rev. Bernard C. Wolff, Sarah Rice LYETH, b. 24 Dec 1806 1808 in son's Bio), MD, d. 22 Aug 1885, at Philo, Champaign Co., IL, where she migrated with her son after the death of Christian.. Sarah is buried in Lucus Grove Cem., Philo, OH. There were 7 children by the 1st. wife. An eighth child listed below, and other children who may have been in Frederick Co., MD. Records state that Christian was baptized 28 Jan 1787. Christian was in Frederick Co., MD in 1820, and 1830; in Berkeley Co., VA in 1840, 1850, and 1860. He saw service in the War of 1812 as a 2nd. Sgt. under Capt. Marker from 27 Aug Oct to 27 Oct 1814, witnessed by Benjamin S. LYETH and Henry  F. Mcsherry, in 1855. In the 1860 census, son Benjamin, Martha LEITH 79, b. MD, probably Sarah's mother, and William Hoffman are in the household. The biography of his son, Benjamin, states that he was born and reared in Baltimore. J. and F. B. RANKIN, d. 14 Feb 1873, Martinsburg, in childbirth (the child died at 6 months); m. 2nd., Aug 1875, Isabelle 'Belle' L. CAMPBELL b. 27 Oct 1848, Coshocton Co., OH, d. 9 Jul 1923, Momence, IL, d/o Patrick and Rachel (MITCHELL) CAMPBELL (d. in OH). Belle attended college in West Lebanon, OH, migrated to Sydney Twp., Champaign County, IL with relatives. Benjamin, went to Champaign Co. in 1861, but returned to WV to marry. In 1880 they were living in Phiol Twp., Champaign Co., IL, with Sarah, his mother, age 72 and Gilbert _____? 14, b. GER, a servant in the household. In 1910 he was in Momence, Kankakee Co., IL, and again in Momence in 1920 with  Cora L. Gray 31, a roomer in the home. He was a lumber dealer in Philo Village for a number of years, served as township supervisor several years, and he and his wife were members of the Episcopal Church. Not mentioned in his biography in Champaign Co., is the fact that by 1910, he and son Clyde L. TABLER, had relocated in Momence, Kankakee Co., IL, where they were in the coal and lumber business. Clyde, along with his father operated a coal and lumber business in Momence. In 1910 and 1920 they were in Momence. They are buried in Momence City Cem. (ILKKB1, ILKK6, 7) Children:

Executor of the will of John TABLER, 2 Jan 1868, was James A. CASTLE, possibly a nephew. They migrated to Miami Co., OH in 1815. On 10 Jul 1819, John H. P. CASTLE bought lot 27, Piqua, Miami Co., OH. 240.3g1 Gideon F. CASTLE, b. 4 Nov 1829, Miami Co., OH. He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University at Delaware, Delaware Co., OH in 1853, then studied law withh M. H. Jones, of Piqua. He was admitted to the bar, 4 Jun 1860, and in July opened a practice in Toledo, Lucas Co., OH. In 1862, he moved to Columbus, Franklin Co., OH. He was a member of the Ohio State and Franklin Co. Bar. He never married. In 1900, the only census in OH in which Gideon appears, he was boarding in the house of Mary Elizabeth Bugh in Columbus. He was 70 years old. (OHFRB1, OHFR5)

He was the first postmaster at Clio. As a farmer he owned 225 acres in Grand River Twp., and 98 acres in Jefferson Twp. Cleo, at the suggestion of Marian Edgeman, was laid out by John TABLER. The population was 113. He was a Mason, and he and his wife were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church. They are buried in Fairview-Clio North Cem., Grand River Twp., Wayne Co. In 1880 he was living in Grand River Twp. In the household  was Mary Hutchison 22, and  b. OH, and Alice M. Hutchison 3, b. IA, (may be daughter, Mary and child), Emma SOUDER 11, b. MO, George SOUDER 41, b. OH, and Martha SOUDER 25, b. IN. In 1900, Eliza DOBBINS b. May 1846, OH, widowed, Eldon DOBBINS, b. Mary 1875, MO, a brick mason, Bertha E. DOBBINS b. May 1877, MO, a school teacher, and Verna E. DOBBINS 18, b. MO. The census shows that Eliza had 7 children, with 6 living. John and Susan are buried in Fairview Cem., Clio. John, a farmer, migrated to Wayne Co., IA in 1855, and resided in Clio. In 1860 they were farming in Jefferson Twp., Wayne Co. He owns 26 acres in Clio and 100 acres in Jefferson Twp. After the death of Margaret, John m. 2nd. Mary A. _____, b. 31 Dec 1823, d. 19 Feb 1895, Wayne Co., IA. He served as a Twp. Trustee and they were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Margaret and a son, Jacob A. are buried in Green Ridge Cem., Wayne Co. John A. and his 2nd. wife, Mary, and dau. Ann are buried in Fairview-Clio North Cem., Grand River Twp., Wayne Co.
