2514 Edward SWANN, m. bef. 1662, (2515) Susannah ____?. Susannah, the wife of Edward SWANN was from "Chestnut Point". Her maiden name may have been HEATH. The SWANNS were from SWANN'S Point in VA. The English family of SWANN, were of Denton Court, Kent, and received amoral rights through Sir Francis SWANN. (MDB58 v8 p204) Known children:

2514.1 Capt. James SWANN, b. by 1666,St. Mary's Co., MD, d. bef. 1707, St. Mary's Co., m. Judith  COMPTON, d. after 1736. She m. 2nd. Samuel Williamson, d. after 1729. James was a carpenter. (MDB58 v8 p204, MDST1) Know children:

2514.2 Thomas SWANN, b. c1674, m. d. by 1763, Prince George's Co., MD, was a carpenter, m. by 1700 Catherine BURCH, d/o Oliver and Barbara (TENNISON) BURCH. Thomas SWANN Sr., age about 49y at a disposition recorded 21 Feb 1723 states his father Edward SWANN about 30 years previously showed him the first bounded tree of a tract of land called 'Eagleton'. Samuel SWANN, aged about 47 years stated his brother Thomas SWANN Sr. showed him the bounded tree. Witnesses present at the bounded tree this date, 21 Feb 1723 included Joseph Ward, and Benjamin Ward sons of William Ward Sr., James SWANN, s/o Thomas SWANN Sr., and Mary Lewis, d/o Thomas Lewis.(MDB58 v8 p204, MDCHB3 p270)
