486.2-Susannah SINN, b. c1735, bpt. 30 Mar 1735, m. 1752 probably Frederick Co., MD, Johann Caspar BECKENBACH (PECKENPAW) b. 10 Jul 1722, Eiterbach, GER, d. 18 Jan 1790, Frederick Co., MD, s/o Johann  Adam and Anna Maria BECKENBACH. Susanna BECKENBACH was confirmed at Evangelical Reformed Church in Frederick on 20 Apr 1753. She and Caspar were also active in Christ Reformed in Middletown, where they were members in 1775, and where Susannah was confirmed by Pastor Henop on the 27 Apr 1782, and received communion. They sponsored at least two baptisms in 1774 and 1776 (See the placement list in the research notes below).  (FH36, MDFR17, MDFRB6, 8) Children:

486.2b Anna Maria BECKENBACH b. 11 Oct 1755, MD, d. 3 Jul 1847, m. 1792, Laurentz  (Lawrence)  EVERHART (EBERHARDT) b. 6 May 1755, d. 6 Aug 1840, s/o Christian and maria Sabills (GEIER) EVERHART. Lawrence was Rev. War Vet. (see FH36 for more information on his Rev. Service), and was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church. They are buried in Middletown, Lutheran Graveyard, Middletown, Frederick Co., MD. ( FH36, MDFRB2) Children:

486.2b8 Sarah 'Sallie' A. EVERHART b. 21 Oct 1882, age 86y 6m 8d, Frederick Co., MD, m. 17 Mar 1827, Frederick  Co., Henry R. SMELTZER Jr., b. 5 Jun 1810, Md, d. 20 Feb 1875, age 65y 8m 15d (date of death probably 1855, since he does not appear with Sarah in any census after 1850). In 1850 they were in Frederick Co. with 3 children, and William Zittle 27, a tailor in the household In 1860 through 1880 Sarah is head of the household with daughter Sarah 'Sallie' FEAGLER (FAGLER, FEIGLER) and a Laura FEAGLER (or SMELTZER) in the home. In 1880 there is also a Howard M. FEAGLER (or SMELTZER) in the home. Both Laura b. c1851, MD, and Howard b. c1841, MD,  are described a grandchildren. In 1860 and 1870, Laura, appears to be a FEAGLER; but in the 1880 census, both Laura and Howard are named SMELTZER. Sarah, Henry, and Henry Edwin W. are bur. in Midddletown Lutheran Graveyard, Middletown, Frederick Co. (FH36, MDFREB2, 16, 58, MDFRB8-11) Known Children:

In 1870 he and Abbe were in the 2nd. Ward, Fort Dodge, Webster Co., IA. There were several boarders in the home: Peder Boeher 22, a laborer, Carrie Bolsler? 30, and Marshal Bucher 26. (IACY1, IAWE1)

486.3b8d Henry Edwin W. SMELTZER b. c1837, (no death date on the stone). In 1860 Henry Edwin was a speculator living with his brother, Charles, in Clay Twp., Clay Co., IA. He may have died in IA, or returned to Maryland. He is bur. with is parents in Middletown Lutheran Graveyard, Middletown, Frederick Co., MD. (IACY1)
