32.7 James William MORROW, b. 1819, Berkeley Co., WV, s/o James and Sarah (HARTSOCK) MORROW, d. 10 Dec 1878 of consumption, Berkeley Co., WV, m. 1848, Frederick Co., VA, Sarah Ann MILLS, b. 1829, VA, d. 27 Jan 1877, Berkeley Co., WV. Their grave site has not been located. According to his death record, he d. of consumption at age 58. His occupation is listed as farmer. James, the youngest child of James MORROW, obviously went to Middletown, VA in Frederick Co. with his parents when they left Garrardstown, Berkeley Co., VA. He was a miller in the vicinity, but across line in in Warren Co., VA in 1850. Between 1850 and 1860, he moved back to Berkeley Co., where he still resided in 1870. In 1880, only his sons were left; Thomas 30, a carpenter, John 28, a farmer, James 35, a farm laborer, and Edward 31, the youngest in the house, is keeping house. T. and Susan Basore BOWERS, resided 132 Ross St., Hagerstown, MD in the 1970s. He was married to a widow, but had no issue of his own. It is unclear if this was the same widow he married in 1932. He did not know much about his family, but he gave one clue that turned out to be fruitful some years later. He said that his grandfather, James William had a brother, named Rasberry or something like that (turned out to be Asberry),. He also confirmed that there were 9 children in his grandfather's family. The other thing that struck me at the time was the resemblance to my grandfather, R. W. MORROW (1888-1870).(PI18, PI20, O6, US1, WVBE1)
