32.1 William Henry MORROW, b. 14 Aug 1807, Frederick Co., MD, s/o James and Sarah (HARTSOCK) MORROW, d. 7 Nov 1889, age 82y 2m 23d., Ansonia, Darke Co., OH, at the home of his daughter, Margaret LANDIS, m. 15 Sep 1831, Frederick Co., VA, by John Allemong, minister, Mary Jane MURRAY, b. c1801/1811, Frederick Co., VA, d. before 1860, Darke Co., OH. William Henry sold a piece of land in Frederick Co., VA on 18 Oct 1833, and according to his obituary, moved to New Madison, Darke Co., OH. He first appears there in the 1840 Census with 1 male 20-29 (William H.), 2 females 0-5 (Margaret, Mary Jane), 1 female 5-9 (Sarah A.), 1 female 20-29 (Mary Jane). In 1850 and 1860 he is farming in Neave Twp. Darke Co. There are some discrepancies in his obituary; he was born in Frederick Co., MD, not VA, and the date of the marriage was in 1831, not 1833. He may have married a second time after the death of Mary Jane, the 1870 census records showing a Susan MORROW, b. about 1809 in PA, living at his residence. OBITUARY: 32.1 William H. MORROW, pioneer, died at the home of his daughter, Margaret Landis in Ansonia, OH, 7 Nov 1889, aged 82y 2m 23d, b. 14 Aug 1807, Frederick Co., VA. He m. in 1832, Mary Jane MURRAY. He came to OH in 1832, settling in New Madison, Darke Co. There were 8 children. Survived by a son, 3 daughters, and 3 brothers. Services were held in the M. E.
