Nicholas MONG, a German, was naturalized in Frederick Co., 4 Sep 1764. In 1778, he signed the Patriot's Oath of Fidelity and Support in Joseph Spriggs returns. A land grant survey names him as owner of "Nancy", 290 acres on 7 Apr 1769. A daughter, Maria Magdalena b. 30 Sep 1753, bpt. 6 Oct 1753. This child probably d. young, and is not listed below in the list of children. Present at the baptism was Maria Catharina JESSERANIAN, among others. another tie to the JESSERAN family. In 1790, Washington Co., MD, George Nicholas had 1 white male over 16 and 1 female in the household. George Nicholas MONG'S will was dated 28 Jan 1792, names wife, Mary Catherine, all money, bonds, and interest, plus the dwelling forever, his plantation to sons Adam and Jacob. Adam, the son, and John SEIBERT named executors., witnessed by George Hoopner, Ludwig Young, and Daniel Rudel. The will was proved 11 Feb 1792.
