Province was a graduated of University of Virginia, and a CSA Civil War Vet. He spent considerable time in the  west as an Indian Inspector, but returned to Clarke Co., to farm. In 1880 they were in Clarke Co., with Lilly WALTON 17, 'a friend', Louise Brown 50, Martha Brown 8, William ____?, all black servants, Scott Butler 28, and Henry Waters 26, black laborers in the household. Lilly MORROW (8) was really age 12, and great-grandmother of the compiler, and she was first cousin to Bessie Taylor MCCORMICK. He was Spanish American War Vet. In 1900 Ellet was in the U.S. Army and he and Nannie and daughter Ann E. were living with her father in Battletown Twp., Clarke Co., VA. In 1910 they were in Covington, Nelson Co., VA. In 1930 Charles was a clerk at the Interior Dept., Washington, DC, and living in Alexandria City, VA, with Mary E. They were both living in Clarke Co., at the time of their marriage. Nannie was educated at Piedmont Institute in Charlottesville, Albemarle Co., VA. In 1900 Mary MCDONALD 62, Rose LEWIS 44, and her son George W. LEWIS 14, and Louisa Ross 35, a black servant were in the household. In 1910 Nannie and daughter, rose, were living with son Frankl MCCORMICK in Battletown, Clarke Co. In 1920 Nannie and and daughter Rose were living with son Frank. Samuel was educated at Washington and Lee, graduating with a B.L. degree. In 1900 Samuel was farming in Battletown Twp., Clarke Co., VA, with Maria Weatten? 20, a lodger, in the household. In 1850 Cyrus was in Clarke Co., with Samuel MCCORMICK, John Johnston 22, laborer, and Ebin Frost 45, a drover in the household. In 1860 he was farming in Clarke Co., VA, with Samuel MCCORMICK, his borther, and George Marlon 20, a laborer in the home. Cyrus is bur. in Greenhill Cem., Berryville, Clarke Co.
