On 2 May 1799 Lewis was a deacon at Zion Reformed in Middletown. On 22 Dec 1799 Lewis and Chatarin sponsored Chaterin Hann d/o George and Elizabeth Hann at Zion, Middletown. On 1 Jan 1801 they sponsored Henrich Martine s/o Henrich and Marcareth Martine. On Nov 1806, Lewis was on a jury in the case of the state vs. Samuel Morrison for thief of hogs.
