2524 Burr HARRISON, b.23 Dec1636/37, London, ENG, bpt. St. Margaret's Church, Westminster, 28 Dec 1637, s/o Cuthbert HARRISON (see 5048), m. supposedly 1660, (2525) Sarah Frances BURDETTE (see Investigation Note below) of Maryland; m. 2nd. the widow of William Mansbridge. He came to VA in 1660, settling in Stafford Co. near Dumfries, later lived in Prince William Co. Burr HARRISON was a Justice of Stafford Co., VA in 1670, , and in 1699 was sent by the House of Burgesses as an ambassador to the Piscataway Indians.(FH7, MDB37 p233, US10, 18, VAB13) *See Investigation note below. Investigation by Ella Fay O'Gorman. "There is proof only of 3 children of Burr HARRISON; Thomas, William, and Sybil, who m. Thomas WHITLEDGE. It is probable that Bur who m. Mrs. Lettice SMITH was also a son, but for Cuthbert, Burdette, Frances Anne, Sarah Burdette, and Margaret, there is no proof. Also there is no proof that Burr m. Frances BURDETTE. (MDB37 p253)
