22 Cato Moore ENTLER, b. 24 Aug 1821 (1819 in Bible Record), Shepherdstown, Jefferson Co., WV,  d. 6 Apr 1902, Shepherdstown, s/o Joseph and Mary Ellen (RICKARD) ENTLER (44/45), m. 18 Nov 1847, by the Rev. Abraham Harkey at the U. S. Hotel, Frederick Co., MD, (22) Mary Ellen BOWEN, b. 21 Apr 1829, Jefferson Co., d/o William and Catherine (HILL) BOWEN (46/47), d. 19 Jun 1884, Jefferson Co. Both are buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Sheperdstown. From time to time, Moore ENTLER, as he was sometimes commonly referred to was a hotel keeping, a merchant, and a butcher. In 1850 he was hotel keeper in Shepherdstown. In the Civil War, he served in Company B, Hamtramck Guards, 2nd. VA Infantry Regiment, Stonewall Brigade, Army of Northern Virginia, and was mustered into service at Harpers Ferry, 11 May 1861. Company B was made up of men from Shepherdstown, and Moore ENTLER is listed as a confectioner. From his service record, he was frequently absent from muster due to dysentery (hopefully not from his own confections). (BR9, 14, O12,  PI30, 51, WVJE2,12-15, WVJEB1) Children:

22.1 William Moore ENTLER b. 4 Jan 1849 (1 Apr in Bible Record). In 1870 William was clerking in a drug store. He probably never married. (WVJE15)

22.9 Mary Elizabeth "Ellen?" ENTLER b. 17 Sep 1864, Jefferson Co., d. 19 Jun 1948, m. 31 Mary 1887, by Rev. E. A. Eggleston, in Charles Town, Jefferson Co., WV, William Andrew FULK b. 1864.In 1900 Mary's sister Sallie ENTLER is living with them. in Shepherdstown, and also in the household is 'Moses' ENTLER, William's father-in-law. 22.9e Nellie Bowen FULK, b. 28 May 1903, d. Jun 1986, Kearneysville, Jefferson Co., WV, , m. 18 Nov 1925, by Rev. Hunter Davidson at the Eposcopay Paronage, in Middleway, Jefferson Co., Walter Hugh HILL, d. 15 Jul 1873. Nellie graduated 1919, from High School. She was member of the Daughters of the Confederacy, and a 60y member of the Vanclesville Home Extension Club.
